The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is accepting grant applications for $1.9 million in funding for environmental education projects and programs. The purpose of the grants is to promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers and citizens. EPA expects to award at least 20 grants nationwide ranging from a minimum of $15,000 to a maximum of $100,000. Applications accepted until May 2, 2011.
NOAA has issued a request for applications for the Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) Program in California, Chesapeake Bay, Gulf of Mexico, Hawaii, New England, and the Pacific Northwest.
The Fulbright Regional Network for Applied Research (NEXUS) Program scholars will spend up to one year engaged in collaborative thinking, analysis, problem-solving, and multi-disciplinary research in one of three inter-related topics of regional significance: Science, Technology and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable energy.
