These videos feature federal and local government officials, non-profit leaders and students who share stories about the lessons that they have learned over their time working on environmental justice. EPA Accepting Proposals for EE Grants

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is accepting grant applications for $1.9 million in funding for environmental education projects and programs. The purpose of the grants is to promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers and citizens. EPA expects to award at least 20 grants nationwide ranging from a minimum of $15,000 to a maximum of $100,000. Applications accepted until May 2, 2011.

Deadline: April 1, 2011 Students in grades K-8 can help raise awareness about sun safety and win prizes by entering the contest, sponsored by the SHADE Foundation of America, WeatherBug Schools, and the U.S. EPA.
