Description:
Effective and professional written communication and public presentation skills are critical to the success of today’s environmental professionals, in every field. Each professional is expected to deliver clear information, but in order to be truly effective, he or she must also tell a story that engages and informs, and connects a specific message to an audience in a meaningful way.
This course is designed to help environmental professionals develop and improve specific communication skills that will more effectively communicate scientific, technical information and ideas in writing and during presentations. Through a team-based, accelerated learning and interactive format, each participant will develop a personal communication style and will learn to weave themed technical content with storytelling methods. In combining these important skills, each person learns to present the story that delivers the most powerful and compelling information that will resonate with audiences.
