Youth Leadership Coordinator

The Youth Leadership Coordinator’s role is to plan, develop and implement the Youth Leadership Adventures program, in partnership with North Cascades National Park and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This position coordinates backcountry leadership development and field science courses for high school students that serve over 100 students per year, including a Youth Leadership Reunion, a Youth Leadership Conference and student-led community service projects.

Education Manager for NatureBridge in Olympic National Park

The Education Manager position is responsible for co-managing the education staff, overseeing systems, and supporting the day-to-day operation of NatureBridge Olympic education programs both on and off campus. Educational activities led and supported by this position include: developing curriculum, student environmental science investigations, staff training, staff hiring, camping programs, conference presentations, classroom teaching, presentations at workshops, and fundraising events.

Environmental Education Instructors-Mount Rainier Institute

In partnership with Mount Rainier National Park, University of Washington is creating the Mount Rainier Institute. Mount Rainier Institute is a new residential environmental education center. Our mission is to provide outstanding nature-based education experiences that are rooted in science and nurture the next generation of environmental stewards and leaders. We are looking for our first group of skilled educators to help establish a solid program with one of the nation’s iconic National Parks.

North Cascades Institute seeks two qualified and enthusiastic individuals to become Naturalists and part of our education team. Based out of the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center in North Cascades National Park (Diablo, Washington), our Naturalists will teach in our Mountain School program during fall. Mountain School is a nationally recognized residential environmental education program for elementary through high school students.
