The Virginia Zoo's Education Department seeks enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to facilitate education and animal programs such as animal encounters, children’s camps, Zoo Snoozes, and the ZooLive stage show. Candidates must possess experience in public speaking and teaching children of a variety of ages, including very young children; be organized, creative and flexible; have good communication skills; and be able to work well in a team.

The Virginia Zoo's Education Department seeks enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to facilitate summer camp and youth development programs. Candidates must possess experience in teaching children of a variety of ages, including very young children; be organized, creative and flexible; have good communication skills; and be able to work well in a team. Position start date is in June of 2015. Candidates must be available all weeks from June through the end of August to be eligible for hire.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, with previous experience in the delivery of various camp activities and programs. Applicants must be on site from June 4 – August 14, 2015.Compensation includes salary ranging from $4900 - $5500, meals and lodging.
