Fall Naturalist Great Basin Outdoor School

Great Basin Outdoor School looking for naturalist candidates for our Fall session (September-October), 4 day long program weeks. Ideal candidates will have a background in the natural sciences, experience working with kids, and a contagious enthusiasm for the outdoors. Fall Youth Environmental Educator

The Fall Youth Environmental Educator will assist in the implementation of Great Basin Naturalists Environmental Science Studies at the Galena Creek Visitor Center. The primary programs include: (1) On-site and school-based environmental curriculum for elementary through high school age school groups for day field study trips; (2) On-site school residential programs with curriculum based on Next Generation Science Standards for grades 4 through high school.

Urban Roots is accepting applications for full-time, yearlong, AmeriCorps members to be a part of our FarmCorps program. FarmCorps is a program designed to support sustainable agricultural research, education and job training in Nevada. Urban Roots’ AmeriCorps members will work closely with the University of Nevada-Reno to support innovative research in sustainable high desert farming, master farmer certificate programs, and applied science education.
