The Coordinator or Public Programs is responsible for most non-school nature programs. This position coordinates events and programs that help build an appreciation of nature. They will help with school programs and other nature center tasks as needed.

Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center is a private, non-profit, accredited school that has trained naturalists and educators since 1997. As one of 12 participants in the fellowship, naturalists develop teaching, interpretive, and public relations techniques, plus many other skills related to residential environmental education. They learn through direct teaching experience, guided by staff support, professional workshops, and a series of evaluations throughout the year.

We are now accepting applications for 3 naturalist educators for the 2014-2015 school-year. Naturalist Educators lead elementary through middle school field experiences, work with public programming, and participate in all aspects of the nature center operations. A well-defined, diverse curriculum offers a progression of hands-on learning experiences and professional growth opportunities.

The Educator will work our summer camp season and continue through our nine-month long school year program.
