The Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy (LRWC) is accepting applications for a unique internship opportunity in the combined disciplines of aviculture and environmental education. Interns receive on- the-job training alongside our internationally known staff in all aspects of aviculture and environmental education programs.

The Green Jobs Youth Development program is a positive youth development program that provides opportunities for urban teenagers in New Haven. For 5 weeks, 4 to 8 teenagers will be employed to develop and initiate service projects to improve the environment in their public housing neighborhood. Projects will include gardening, landscaping, trail maintenance and others they envision as a team.

Position Title: Seasonal Teacher/Naturalist
# of Positions: 1

Salary: $350-$360 per week (depends on exp.) + housing

Location: Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center, Milford, CT

Temporary, Full-time 40 hours per week

Start and End Dates: ASAP, no later than May 1, 2014 to June 22, 2015 (includes summer camp employment.) with possibility of extension.

The White Memorial Conservation Center, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) nature center located in Litchfield, Connecticut, has an opening for an Education Director. The Conservation Center includes a Museum, with an annual attendance of over 6,000, an active Education program serving over 7,000 each year, in both on and off campus programs, a Research staff and rental facilities. The Center is located within the 4,000 acre White Memorial Foundation property.
