Environmental Educator (Full Time)

Lead a wide variety of environmental programs to diverse audiences, primarily elementary school students and families. Programs include on-site, in-school, and after-school programs, scout groups, summer camp, and public groups. Assist in the development of inquiry-based, participatory programs, assisting with special event days, and the support of of other educational initiatives. Position will work Tues.-Sat. from Sept.-June and Mon.-Fri. for July-Aug. Some nights and other weekends will be required.

A part-time, contract position working primarily during the week, although some weekend work may be required. This position will be joining our busy env./farm-based education dept. and will be responsible for teaching natural history and farm-themed programs for preK-5th grade. The EE will primarily teach afterschool programs but bmay also help with selected school & public programs. 10-12 hours/week.

Position Title: Seasonal Teacher/Naturalist

Salary: $350-$360 per week (depends on exp.) + housing

The White Memorial Conservation Center, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) nature center located in Litchfield, Connecticut, has an opening for an Education Director. The Conservation Center includes a Museum, with an annual attendance of over 6,000, an active Education program serving over 7,000 each year, in both on and off campus programs, a Research staff and rental facilities. The Center is located within the 4,000 acre White Memorial Foundation property.
