The Part Time Environmental Educator will primarily teach a variety of natural and physical science birthday party themes and provide natural history interpretation and guest services at the Visitor Center. In addition, as needed the part time EE may teach afterschool, scout and school programs for ages pre-K through adult on numerous natural and physical science topics, including teaching with live animals and birds of prey. Work week focus is on Saturdays plus 2-3 other days per week.
The Battle Creek Outdoor Education Center at Clear Lake Camp has been serving students in Michigan since 1933. We are seeking school camp Instructor/Counselors for Fall 2013, with the potential to stay on for Spring 2014 and beyond. TNFW functions as a research and education facility for its members and visitors and serves as a host site for regional and national conservation efforts. The Foundation is located at Wintergreen Ski and Golf Resort in central Virginia. The Youth & Adult Educator position at TNFW is a year-round position working Tuesday through Saturday.
The Environmental Educator position at The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen is an approximately 12-week commitment during the summer season. Start and end dates will be approximately June through Labor Day weekend. This position normally works 9am-5pm, with some exceptions for special events or special programs. The work week is 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, and will include some holidays. Compensation is $300 per week, lodging and utilities can be included.
