Do you love teaching young children (2-5 and K-2nd grade) and have a passion for nature? Are you creative, energetic, engaging and genuinely interested in connecting young children to the natural world? PUDDLESTOMPERS Nature Exploration is looking for an outstanding candidate to teach at our “Weekly Summer Nature Program” located in Newton, Wellesley, Chestnut Hill and Weston.
PUDDLESTOMPERS’ mission is to connect the youngest naturalists and their parents and caregivers to the natural world. By providing children and families with seeds of interest and tools of exploration, PUDDLESTOMPERS seeks to help build the foundation for a lifelong enjoyment and love of the outdoors.
Responsibilities
Lead children in outdoor exploration with hands-on investigation, active movement and play, songs, games, stories and projects. This is a part-time position ranging from 18 to 20 hours/week; $12-15/hour.
*Possibility for additional teaching opportunities in Spring and Fall.
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience with 2-5 year olds and/or K-2nd graders
- Experience in outdoor education and/or degree in the natural sciences a plus
- Dependable, responsible and organized
- Fun-loving, creative and engaging
- College graduate
- Must have a car
